The Cookers are an inspirational band of elder statesmen whose contribution to the music over some six or more decades is immeasurable. Brilliant saxophonist Chico Freeman kicks off the evening with his first London concert in years, with a cracking new band 4-tet, playing the music from his acclaimed and chart topping new album, Spoken into Existence, displaying the sheer imaginative strengths of his playing, and the melodic depth of his composing skills.
